Many people regard the Internet as a sort of digital Wild West, an anarchic playground beyond the reach of real-world laws and regulations. But this is simply not true. Most of the laws that apply to print and broadcast media apply with equal force to on-line media.
Furthermore, there is now a substantial legal and regulatory framework governing on-line activities that is growing and developing almost on a daily basis.
